All of our luggage
Enjoying my last Diet Coke in the O'Hare airport. In Germany, they have Coca Cola Light which is just not the same, so I am planning to give it up once we are there.
We have "moved in" the hotel room and are mostly settled in. I am very happy to have access to free internet (yay!) and the hotel employees are very kind and speak English (yay again!).

We went to dinner at what is already one of our favorite spots, a restaurant with great tapas called La Barca. We ordered La Barca Teller which was an assortment of different tapas (easier than trying to decipher the menu)
Our favorite was Datteln & Pflaumen im Speckmantel which was a plum wrapped in bacon. It may not sound super appetizing but they were amazing!
Tired husband
Before we left Portland, we tried to enjoy some of our favorite foods which included a run to VooDoo Doughnuts on Tuesday night and some sushi on Wednesday night.
John got some doughnut concoction with rice crispies on it. Notice his Tshirt? As if he REALLY needed another shirt...
My doughnut was called the Old Dirty B@st@rd...it had crushed Oreos and peanut butter on it. HEAVEN!!
Our favorite sushi roll was called Godzilla.
They soak a sugar cube in alcohol and light it on fire.
Pics of our hotel room to come tomorrow!
