Last night (our time) 17-year old Melanie Oudin defeated Elena Dementieva in a great U.S. Open match. This elicited a monumental amount of excitement in our hotel room, as John was responsible for bringing Melanie to adidas as a junior player. Her victory and the consequent surge in media presence are a BIG deal! :0)Check out the articles from USA Today, ESPN, and from the US Open page. How about a video clip showing Melanie with her mi adidas Barricades? That's our girl!
The surplus of Melanie photos in the media are great publicity for both adidas in general and more specifically, the mi adidas line of shoes. The shoes she wore were custom designed...by her!
