Eastern Germany Braces for Biggest Snowstorm of Past Decades
Jan. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Germany may be hit by one of the biggest snowstorms in decades with as much as 45 centimeters (18 inches) of snow expected from late tomorrow in eastern parts of the country, weather forecasters said. By Leon Mangasarian
“This may be one of the most powerful snowstorms of the past 10 to 20 years,” Alexander Hildebrand, meteorologist for N24 television, said today in a weather forecast.
Eastern Saxony state is expected to get the most snow with 45 centimeters predicted in Dresden through Jan. 10, Bild Zeitung newspaper said. The southeastern city of Munich may get 35 centimeters; eastern Berlin, 25 centimeters and western Frankfurt 15 centimeters, Bild said. Temperatures may fall to minus 5 Celsius (23 Fahrenheit) in eastern Germany and high winds may cause “blizzard” conditions, Bild said.

At least you don't have to travel on an airplane for this storm. Village life and walking distance has something to be said for itself. Easy going on the way to adidas!
