daycare update

So far Grace is doing really well with daycare. She is napping for over two hours while she is there and Miss Renee said she has not heard her cry yet. I got a little sheet today when I picked her up called a "cuddle gram" that has info about when she slept, her diaper changes, and when/how much she ate. I think Miss Renee realized I am going to ask her about all those things everyday when I pick Grace up, so she might as well write them down for me. I try not to be one of those crazy moms that wants to know what happened every minute while she was parted from me, but if the shoe fits...

While she was there today, I went back to my school and did some more work in my classroom. I always love this time of year when everything seems fresh and I figure out yet another new way to arrange my room up and prepare for the year by trying to be more organized than the previous year. I think at this point all the basic organizing is done and now I just need to confer with the teacher that will be sharing my room to make sure she is on board with how I set things up. I had my first working mom mini crisis while I was there because when I went to pump, the battery on the pump was dead and I wasn't able to. Oh the joys of being a working mom.

Grace never seems overjoyed when I come to get her. I don't get any big smiles and she doesn't reach out for me or act like she's happy that I came back to get her. I will consider myself lucky because that means she is pretty relaxed about the whole daycare thing and is happy even when I'm not there. She sure was happy to be reunited with Sophie though...

Notice that the legs on the 6 month size outfit Grace is wearing are riding up. She is a long lady. She just keeps growing like a weed. Her torso is long too.
