10 Days

Last night my friend Jill came over and stayed with Grace for an hour so John and I could go next door to Masu for a little sushi dinner. Raw fish is on the no-no list during pregnancy, so it was a huge treat to finally get some yummy sushi. We call Jill the Baby Whisperer because she has tons of experience babysitting and caring for babies. It was so nice of her to stay with Grace so we could have a date together.

yum!

Grace has been wanting to eat a lot more frequently yesterday and today, but she had a good three hour sleep last night in between feedings, which was nice. John and I figured out (duh!) that the earlier we get to bed the more sleep time we can log, so I actually had my night owl husband in bed at 9:30 last night. That way we can get in a few hours before Grace is up to eat again.

Can you guess who dressed her today?

She's been working on her tummy time

 two very cute faces

This afternoon we took Grace in the stroller on a walk to the post office to mail a present to her new bff Kenzie Ann Devlin. We are very excited for Sean and Rayne and really happy that Grace will have a little friend to play with when we get together with the Devlin's. We wouldn't be too sad if she married Kenzie's big brother Brennie either.

It started to rain on us as we walked back, so we ducked into St. Cupcake for a little treat.

John's choices: vanilla/vanilla, carrot cake, Big Top
My choices: chocolate/chocolate, carrot cake, Big Top

We both saved the Big Top for last. Must mean it's our favorite.

John goes back to work tomorrow so Miss Grace and I are on our own for the day. Then Cristina arrives tomorrow evening and will be here until Sunday. Grace cannot wait to meet her Fairy Godmother who sent her a super cute chair for her nursery. It is going to look really cute with the polka dots in her crib bedding and in the curtains. Her room was painted today and I haven't seen it yet, but John said it looks really nice. Can't wait to set up her room! For some reason I can't get the photo to upload right now, but stay tuned because hopefully we'll get some photos of the fresh paint job in her nursery soon!
