I did some investigating today and found out that the goodies we ate in Rothenburg are called snowballs! Apparently they are a "specialty" only made in Rothenburg which makes me oh so happy that we tried them out! They are made of deep fried dough which is rolled into bundles and then dipped in chocolate or powdered sugar. The ones pictured are quite large--probably the size of a baseball. The ones we had came in a bag with four different varieties and were closer to the size of a golf ball.
It was Halloween, so we definitely needed to indulge in this amazing goodness!

I also discovered today that there are outlet stores in Germany!
There is a place called Ingolstadt Village in Bavaria which is a little less than an hour and a half away from where we live.
I have no idea what kind of deals they might offer, but I would love to find out!
Also, today was my first day at work in my new position and so far so good. We made up my schedule and I will have every Friday off! Thursday I am done working at 11:45 which makes for super long weekends during which I can accomplish an amazing number of fantastic feats and activities! Monday I work 8-2, Tuesday 8-3, and Wednesday 8-3:40. I will mostly be working with middle school students, a few elementary schoolers, and one 9th grader.

OMG! Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend, can't wait to try those delish baseball like things. Also, your schedule sounds perfect!! So happy for you! Sorry we missed our chat this weekend, hopefully next weekend will be better!
