3 months!

We were in California on the 7th, so I did a makeshift 3 month photo on John and Margaret's couch and then did Grace's monthly chair pics when we got home.

She is wearing her very first adidas sweatsuit!

I took a lot of photos, but didn't really get a good smile this month...Grace was very into her outfit though and kept looking down at it and holding her dress in her hands. Now that she is wearing more dresses in the hot weather, she is becoming quite the flasher!

Grace doesn't have another appointment with the pediatrician until August 15th, so I don't have official 3 month measurements, but we think she is in the range of 13-14 pounds. She is definitely getting bigger and longer. She is fitting 3 month clothes now and some that are 3-6 months as well. We are amazed at how much she is changing.

She is much more alert and interested in her surroundings which means she gets very distracted when it's time to eat and there are people talking or the TV is on. She's been more talkative too, but tends to be pretty quiet and just observe when she is out and about in the world. She has a beautiful smile, but only shows it off to a select few including Dad, Mom, and Jill most often.

She has pretty consistently been sleeping through the night since around John's birthday. She goes down around 7 or 7:30 and gets up to eat around 5:30 or 6:30 in the morning. If she wakes at 5:30 she eats and goes right back down until about 8, but if she wakes at 6:30, she is usually awake for a few hours before going back down. She's been having a bit of trouble staying asleep once we put her to bed, but once she is out, she is a great sleeper and usually only requires a paci replacement during the night.

She is still hating tummy time, but getting stronger and has pretty good neck control. We are starting to think she might be a lefty based on how her grasp on that side seems stronger and she can hold her rattle much longer on that side. We also joke that she is practicing her tennis serve because she always swings her left arm up and down.
