5 months!

Our little peanut is FIVE months old! She is cuter than ever and can now demonstrate a very fun trick--rolling! Last Saturday she rolled from her tummy to her back for the first time while wearing her cute Notre Dame baby legs and now she can cleverly avoid the dreaded tummy time by rolling right out of it any time we try to put her on her tummy. She can also officially put her paci back in if it falls out all by herself. One time I came in to get her after her nap and she had reached behind her and grabbed 3 pacis and stockpiled them next to her. I guess she wanted a few extras just in case... Her five month photos are a good example of her budding mobility and curiosity. It was hard to get a good shot and once again there were no smiles. Such a serious little peanut!

Such a lady in her pretty dress...

She is very alert and is starting to notice when I leave the room. She has not cried when I drop her off for daycare yet, but she will cry and whimper if I leave her in the swing and go to the bathroom or something like that. She likes to be with me. She has even gotten to sleep in between mommy and daddy in bed a few times this weekend because she wasn't feeling great, so we are hoping that doesn't become a habit or preference for her. It's easier than walking around with her at 2 am and trying to get her back to sleep, but John says he can't sleep when she's in the bed and we feel strongly that she needs her own sleeping place and so do we!

She is continuing to do very well at daycare and she smiles now when I pick her up. She is having a little bit of tummy trouble this weekend, so we are keeping her home from daycare tomorrow. Fortunately John and I are able to work it out that he can stay with her in the morning and then I can leave a bit early to come home so he can go to work. She had a naked day yesterday as we were trying to help her sore bottom heal up.

Hopefully her tummy will get better soon!
