Here a shoe, there a shoe, everywhere a shoe shoe

This week we worked hard to get a few last pieces of furniture from Ikea to help get everything organized in our new place. I surprised John mid-week by getting the apartment completely cleaned up and we got some storage shelves for the basement storage unit so that we can keep stuff down there instead of having extra **junk** in our living space. Sometimes we feel like we live at Ikea but that place has some pretty good storage/organization solutions that are helping keep me sane.

Check out our variety of shoe storage methods:
I have this issue with shoes being out, so these various storage methods make it possible to hide them all which is an idea I am in love with! They are all tucked away in their own little spots, so that we don't have to see them all the time.

I also made a trip to the Deutch Post location on Thursday because we recieved two notices in the mailbox about packages that would be waiting for us there. I had been there before, but in a car, so I was not exactly sure how far it was and whether or not it was a good idea to walk there. I went right after a meeting at school, so I had a few books with me plus my phone and wallet, so my hands were pretty full before even getting the packages. I couldn't really remember what we had ordered, so I figured most likely it was a children's book I had to get for my class which would be fairly small. While walking, I was convinced the entire time that I was going the wrong way and it was a bit farther away than I hoped, but I made it. When I got there, I got one big package which was a new alarm clock we ordered and a pretty small box that I was not expecting. I was trying to figure out what it was, when I saw T-Mobile as the return address. Then it hit me, it was John's iPhone, the one that they said would take about 4 weeks to arrive, the one that he decided to get after buying and returning a google phone, the one that he was going to pee his pants about when he found out it was arriving early! Even though it wasn't even my phone, I was so excited. I wanted to call John right away, but my hands were full of packages and it was hard enough to balance everything with two hands, so I waited until I got home. The whole walk home I felt like a triumphant hunter returning to the village with a good kill. The whole time I was imagining how excited John was going to be. The whole time I was picturing this....

Pure eye closing, ear to ear grinning, blissful, happiness!

Too bad Ikea is not publicly traded. You would have a field day with their stock! the shoe stalls look full, what happens when he gets more?
