Here are some pictures of the bathroom and office/guest bedroom.
Bathroom
In the bathroom, especially, we really had to think about the lack of storage and what to purchase that could hold all of our bathroom essentials. We stocked up on everything from toothbrushes, to deodorant, face wash, makeup, razors etc. because we wanted to covet those products from the U.S. that we hold near and dear. We definitely have lots of things that needed homes in the bathroom. I think we did a pretty good job with the set of shelves and the little bench. The bench reminds me of something from the spa, which is nice. My biggest goal was to make sure things could be put away rather than having every kind of bathroom product out on the counter. Also, we don't have a linen closet, or any closets for that matter, so all of our extra towels and linens are being stored in the big drawers in our day bed.
Guest Room/Office
It's hard to get shots of the office because it's a pretty small room that is narrow, so if you are standing in it, you can't really capture the whole effect.
For now, those rooms are the only ones decent enough for public viewing, but more pics will come!

Last night we went to an Irish Pub called Murphy's Law with a few teacher friends of mine. The place was just refurbished and has it's grand re-opening this past Thursday night. It was really cool and John was in heaven. Anyone who visits will definitely be taken there! John pretty much said to me, "If you ever can't find me, check here."
The whole bar staff was Irish and the owner was a really nice man from Dublin. There was live music--a guy singing American songs less than 10 feet from us, many of which John sang along to. There is something great about hearing Brown Eyed Girl in Germany.... We enjoyed some Radlers & Guinness and stayed out until about 2:30.
Earlier, we went to El Lobo for a Mexican dinner. Even though we have heard time and again there is no "good" Mexican food in Germany, we thought we would give it a try. It's super close to our apartment and right down the road from my school. The food was not bad, but the flavors are not the same as what we are used to when it comes to Mexican food. John also ordered a margarita which came in a Sex and the City-ish martini glass. Weird! They had real tortilla chips instead of Doritos pretending to be tortilla chips that we have had before in Germany. The atmosphere was very much like a typical fun Mexican restaurant and many of the food items that we saw on other tables looked really good. We think we will go back sometime for a happy hour type deal and try some nachos and frozen margaritas (we heard those were much bigger!)

Is it just me, or does that bathroom look HUGE! You've got to love that I'd imagine.
What brand is your washer/dryer? I've heard that Electrolux is the brand in Europe and we just ordered them for the new house and I'm dying to hear someone else's opinion.
