9 Months

We have our 9 month checkup on Friday to see exactly what Grace's stats are, but she is definitely growing and becoming more and more entertaining everyday.  Our guess is that she is about 17 1/2 pounds and that she has grown a couple inches since her last visit.

Since Notre Dame plays in the BCN National Championship game later today, I had to dress Grace up in her game gear for her pics this month. She definitely rose to the occasion with some funny faces. I cannot for the life of me get her to look at the camera and smile...or stay still for that matter, but here are some of the cute (very animated) shots I got.

 "Go Irish...VICTORY!"

 "touchdown...yes!"

"Go Blue and Gold!"

"I'm going to be in bed when the game is on? Seriously?"

"Mom you're crazy..."

Over Christmas break Grace got three new teeth...one on the bottom and two on the top. She is still army crawling, but really loves to stand and climb all over daddy. And speaking of Daddy, she is OBSESSED with John. Practically time she makes a noise it's to say dadadadadada. She lights up when she sees his photo and finds him in pictures that I show her. Daddy's girl for sure. She has started to pull herself up a little bit, but mostly reaches to us to help her stand. She loves her LeapFrog toy that allows to her stand while she plays. She is definitely enjoying her Christmas spoils and will "read" her books for a long time.

She loves to clap and she even claps on cue for "If you're happy and you know it" which John sings to her every day. She won't do it on camera, but she does it. She also holds out her arms if we ask "How big is Grace." What I love most about this stage is that she is really funny. She makes all these funny faces and laughs. It's like she already knows how to be a ham. She has this one face where she squints her eyes and smiles. I'm not quite sure what it means but sometimes she does it when she really likes what she is eating. We call it the walrus face.

Speaking of eating...Grace loves to eat. I haven't really come across any food besides avocado that she doesn't like. She tried tofu on Christmas and ate it up. She has also recently tried chicken, macaroni and cheese, hummus on bread, blueberries, egg yolk, and ground beef. She loves to feed herself and has started drinking water from a sippy cup with some help.

Right now, sleeping is going well. We are trying to do more of a set schedule and Grace seems to be adapting to that well. She is sleeping through the night (yay), but I hate to mention that because I am afraid just talking about it will jinx it. Typically she goes to bed around 6:30 and sleeps until 6. She can often be found sleeping with George in her clutches. She will play for a bit when we put her in her crib, roll around with her stuffies, and look at her books and then she's out.

It's hard to believe she is already 9 months old!

Enjoy her...this was one of my favorite ages for Logan. Before they are walking but still so animated and fun! Although I really am enjoying 2 and 1/2 years. Also Logan army crawled for like three months and then one day just crawled so don't worry!
