Mom Fail

It was bad enough when I was only getting on here to post Grace's monthly photos, but December 7th came and went and I didn't even post then.... mom fail...

So here they are...

 8 months!

Grace loves her books and stuffed animals. Her very favorite is Curious George and he can often be ground wrapped in her arms when she is sleeping. She is now army crawling all over the place and beginning to pull herself up with our help. She loves standing and will do steps if we hold her hands. She just started clapping yesterday and holding her arms out when we say "How big is Grace? SOOO big." 

 

Grace likes to say mamammama and daddadada. She waves and says hi when people arrive or leave.  

She is very excited for her first Christmas. She loves playing with the wrapping paper and has tried to unwrap presents daily. I finally gave in and let her open her stocking presents yesterday because she will have plenty to open on Christmas Eve.

A few weekends ago we went to the Pioneer Place Mall to meet Santa. I was very proud of how organized John and I were in researching when the display opened and actually getting there early to get in line. Unfortunately, the camera was locked up and no-one had the key. We waited for about 30 minutes, but when people (and kids) started getting restless, the woman in charge decided to let people take photos with their personal cameras as long as we didn't step inside the carpeted area. So John snapped a bunch of shots with my phone and we were on our way. Grace was totally fine on Santa's lap and didn't cry.

We are looking forward to celebrating her first Christmas! We are going to Arizona on the 24th, so we will wake up at home and pretent it's Christmas before we head there for Christmas #2 with Margaret, John, and Grandmother Sonja.
