1 month old!

I started this post yesterday, but had some trouble uploading the pics I wanted to include...

Grace is one month old today! It seems like she has been with us forever and it's hard to believe that it was only one month ago that she came into our lives.

She is growing fast so mom took today as an opportunity to dress her up in cute clothes and take lots of pics! A few of the good ones...

wardrobe change...

Grace also got her first bottle last night. Since she will need to have bottles when she starts daycare in the fall, it is recommended that she start having them around 4 weeks so she can get used to the plastic nipple. She had no problem with the bottle and downed 3 ounces in about 10 minutes. You can see from the picture that John was pretty happy about being able to feed her.

Cute baby...cute daddy!

I love how she is holding the bottle. She is pretty good about grasping things and sometimes holds onto her blanket. She was even holding onto my bra strap when I was feeding her yesterday.

This morning we went on an outing to Trader Joe's. Normally I go to the one close to my school, but that is a bit out of the way now, so we went to the one in Northeast Portland. There is one downtown which is slightly closer, but the parking lot is very small. The one we went to this morning was great. The parking lot was huge and it only took about 10 minutes to get there. I wore Grace in the sling and although it was a bit cold in the store (next time I will put her in a blanket before putting her in the sling), she did great. She slept the whole time. Many other shoppers thought she was very cute. Also, the man who did our bags for us helped me out to the car and put the groceries in the car for me. I heart Trader Joe's! I LOVED being back in the house so that I didn't have to deal with three bags of groceries, baby in a car seat, and the elevator ten floors up upon getting home. It's much easier to bring everything inside when I can park very close to the door.

We are having amazing weather this week in Portland so we went on a long walk with the stroller yesterday and will do the same today. Grace usually falls asleep so I can get in some decent exercise. I even tried jogging a bit yesterday, but not for long because I still haven't gotten clearance from the doctor to exercise yet. My appointment is on the 15th, so hopefully I will be cleared to do more than just walk.
